 Inserts, Boosters and Liners
Inserts are the main absorbent component of a pocket nappy, or can be laid inside a wrap to give a quick and convenient nappy solution. They can be microfibre, cotton, bamboo or hemp. NB a microfibre inserts shouldn't be in direct contact with a baby's bottom - it can make the skin dry and sore, so always use a liner that completely covers the the microfibre.
Boosters are added to a nappy to increase absorbency and are available here in 2 materials: - Microfibre - quick drying
- Bamboo - more absorbent but slower to dry
Liners are a must if you use a nappy cream to prevent it reducing the absorbency of the nappy. They also make disposing of stools easier. Fleece liners keep moisture away from babies' skin and are especially good to use overnight to keep babies' bottoms soft and dry.
